Balti’s puppies are doing great and nursing just fine. They all weighed about 20oz at birth.
She’s taking good care of them.

They are one day old in the following pictures.

The puppies mostly sleep and nurse at this age. Their eyes and ears are not open yet, so they crawl to their mom using their nose for direction. They are now weigh between 2–1/4 and 2–1/2 pounds.

What a difference a week makes! The puppies have opened their eyes and are taking in their new world. While their ears have not yet opened, they can hear louder sounds. They still sleep a lot, but are also starting to stand and walk a few steps at a time. The boys were tired by picture time today, but not Pink. She was full of energy! They are now weigh about 3-1/2 pounds.

The puppies are walking around better, and they are exploring more. They’ve been playing with each quite a bit this week. They now weigh between 4-1/2 and 4-3/4 pounds.

The puppies are now pretty active, but still tire quickly. They are now picking toys up and carrying them around.

The puppies braved the chilly weather (it was 40 degrees out), and had their first outside playtime. They didn’t show any signs of being cold. They really enjoyed themselves. The puppies ran, played with toys and leaves and explored the yard. We had both mom Balti and aunt Lotta out with them.

Another day of playing outside. Although it was overcast today, the puppies didn’t care. They enjoyed their exercise time.

We took advantage of the nice weather, and the puppies got to play outside again. They really enjoy exploring.
